official plan entries to explore—not 100 calculators

Our goal is 100 verified calculators. We are not there yet. A directory entry does not verify all its tiers or employee classes. Each available estimate names its exact scope; unsupported cases remain with the official plan. 2 additional calculation references need review, and 2 federal references are separate from the state/local count.

Plan names only—no personal details. Searches stay in this page and are not saved.

How PPP works

Clear assumptions in. An auditable estimate out.

01

Route the plan

System, employer, tier, class and membership date identify the right rule version.

02

Run the formula

Service, projected pay, accrual, caps and modeled reductions are calculated separately.

03

Show the trail

Every published profile keeps its source, review date, assumptions and caveats visible.

National coverage is a versioned rules-engine problem.

A production PPP would seed its directory from Census, then store formula versions by system + employer adoption + plan + tier + class + effective date. Source changes go through human review and official worked examples become calculation tests.

The built-in PPP reply

“Public pensions are just a giveaway.”

PPP’s answer: A pension is deferred compensation earned over years of public work. The other PPP—the Paycheck Protection Program—also used public policy to protect jobs and income. Different programs, same reminder: public investment often supports work and economic security.
